1. Introduction – Who We Are and Why Privacy Matters
Welcome to the Privacy Policy of ZabiTech Community ("we", "us", "our"). ZabiTech Community is a free online learning platform founded by Zabiullah, a 17‑year‑old self‑taught developer from Chhine, Punjab, Pakistan, dedicated to helping students learn programming, web development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React JS, Node.js, Firebase, and technology skills for free. Your privacy is critically important to us because we are learners ourselves. This Privacy Policy explains in clear, simple language what information we collect when you use our free coding platform, how we use it to improve our programming tutorials, how we protect it using Firebase security, and what rights you have over your data.
Unlike large tech companies, we do not sell your data, we do not track you across the internet, and we do not collect unnecessary personal information. We built this platform to teach programming, not to harvest data. By using ZabiTech Community to learn web development or read our Python tutorials, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use our community features.
2. Information We Collect – Minimal Data for Maximum Learning
We practice data minimization — we only collect what is absolutely necessary to run a free programming learning platform. We collect three types of information:
A. Information You Provide Directly: When you create a free account to save coding tutorials or post in our community, we collect your email address (via Firebase Authentication), your chosen display name, and your password (which is encrypted by Firebase and never visible to us). If you submit an article, we collect the title, content, and category. If you contact us at zabitechcommunity@gmail.com, we collect your email and message content. We do NOT collect your real name, address, phone number, CNIC, or payment information because our core services are 100% free.
B. Information Collected Automatically: When you browse our web development tutorials, we automatically collect limited technical data to keep the site fast and secure. This includes your IP address, browser type (Chrome, mobile), device type, pages visited, time spent on Python or JavaScript lessons, and referring website. We collect this via Cloudflare Analytics and Firebase Analytics in an anonymized, aggregated form. We use this to understand which programming tutorials are most helpful for students in Pakistan.
C. Cookies and Local Storage: We use essential cookies and browser local storage to remember if you are logged in, remember your dark mode preference, and save your progress in learning paths. We do NOT use advertising tracking cookies or Facebook pixels. You can learn more in Section 6.
3. How We Use Your Information – To Teach Programming Better
We use your limited data for only five specific purposes related to providing free programming education: (1) To operate and maintain our platform — to let you login, save articles, and post in the community using Firebase; (2) To improve our content — to see which HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python tutorials get the most views so we create more of what helps Pakistani students; (3) To provide support — to reply to your emails about coding help or technical bugs; (4) To ensure security — to detect spam accounts, prevent hacking attempts on our Firebase backend, and protect our learning community; (5) To communicate important updates — to send you essential emails about Terms changes or security notices (we never send marketing spam). We do not use your email for newsletters unless you explicitly opt‑in.
4. Legal Basis for Processing – GDPR Transparency
Even though we are based in Pakistan, we respect global privacy standards. Our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) Consent — when you create an account to learn programming; (b) Legitimate Interest — to improve our free web development tutorials and keep the platform secure; (c) Contract — to provide the community features you signed up for. You can withdraw consent anytime by deleting your account.
5. How We Share Your Information – We Don't Sell Data
We have a strict no‑selling policy. We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your email or personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or other companies. We only share limited data with trusted third‑party services that are essential to run our free coding platform: (1) Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Hosting) — to securely store your account and posts. Google's privacy policy applies; (2) Cloudflare Pages — to host our static website and provide CDN delivery for fast loading of programming tutorials in Pakistan; (3) Google Analytics (anonymized) — to understand traffic to our Python and JavaScript lessons. All these services are GDPR‑compliant and process data only on our instructions. We do not share data with advertising networks for tracking.
6. Cookies Policy – Simple and Transparent
Our website uses only essential cookies required for learning. A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. We use: (1) Authentication cookies — to keep you logged into your dashboard while you learn to code; (2) Preference cookies — to remember dark mode; (3) Security cookies — to prevent CSRF attacks on our Firebase forms. We do NOT use third‑party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but you may not be able to login to save your web development progress. We do not use cookie banners because we don't track you, but you have full control.
7. Data Storage and Security – Firebase Protection
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted in secure Google data centers with encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS). Your password is never stored by us — Firebase Authentication handles it using industry‑standard hashing. We take reasonable steps to protect user data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure, including Firebase Security Rules that prevent users from reading other users' private data, regular security reviews, and HTTPS everywhere. However, no online system is 100% secure, especially on free platforms. You are responsible for keeping your password strong and not sharing your account while learning programming.
8. Data Retention – How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your account data (email, display name, posts) as long as your account is active to provide our free programming community services. If you delete your account via dashboard, we permanently delete your personal data from Firebase within 30 days, except for community posts which may be anonymized to preserve learning value for other students. Support emails are deleted after 6 months. Analytics data is aggregated and kept for 26 months to improve our coding tutorials, then automatically deleted by Google.
9. Your Privacy Rights – Full Control Over Your Data
You have full control over your data. You can: (1) Access — request a copy of your account data; (2) Update — edit your display name in dashboard; (3) Delete — delete your account anytime, which removes your email and profile; (4) Export — request your posts in JSON format; (5) Object — opt‑out of analytics by using browser Do Not Track. To exercise any right, email us at zabitechcommunity@gmail.com from your registered email with subject "Privacy Request". We respond within 7 days, free of charge. We respect user privacy and aim to respond to all requests as soon as possible.
10. Children's Privacy – Protecting Young Learners
ZabiTech Community is designed for learners aged 13 and older who want to learn programming and technology skills. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. As a 17‑year‑old founder, I am especially careful about protecting younger learners. If you are under 18, please get parental permission before creating an account. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13 without consent, we will delete it immediately from Firebase. Parents in Pakistan can contact us to review or delete their child's data.
11. Third‑Party Links – External Resources
Our programming tutorials link to valuable external resources like MDN Web Docs, Python.org, React.dev, GitHub, and Stack Overflow to help you learn web development deeply. These third‑party sites have their own privacy policies. When you click a link and leave ZabiTech Community, their policies apply, not ours. We are not responsible for their data practices. We only link to trusted developer resources to support free education.
12. International Data Transfers – Global Hosting
Since we use Google Firebase and Cloudflare (US‑based companies), your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Google provides standard contractual clauses and is certified under privacy frameworks to ensure your data receives the same protection as in Pakistan. By using our platform to learn coding, you consent to this transfer necessary to provide free global hosting.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features like interactive code editors, video tutorials, or community chat for learning programming. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes affecting how we use your data for our free web development platform, we will notify you via email or a dashboard notice. We encourage you to review this page regularly. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
14. Contact Us About Privacy – We're Here to Help
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, how we protect your data while you learn Python, JavaScript, and web development, or you want to exercise your privacy rights, please contact us. The fastest way is email: zabitechcommunity@gmail.com. You can also use our Contact page. As the founder, I personally handle privacy requests because protecting our learning community's trust is my top priority. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
ZabiTech Community is committed to transparency. We collect the absolute minimum data needed to provide free programming education to students in Pakistan and worldwide. No hidden tracking, no data selling, just learning web development, Python, JavaScript, and technology skills — completely free.
